Care Groups
For organizational purposes the congregation is divided into 5 groups. At certain times, and at certain events, one or more groups will be assigned to different tasks: bringing food to an event, set-up, cleanup, serving, etc. You will be notified as to which care group you are in. Please, keep checking the Sunday bulletin for upcoming Care Group responsibilities.

Family Day
Every fifth Sunday, we have a special service and potluck in the annex. We encourage all of our members to make a special effort to invite their friends and family on this day. Everyone is responsible for bringing enough food to share. There is no evening service on these Sundays. Any other questions; call Anita.

Funeral Meals
To encourage grieving families, this ministry provides the family with a hot lunch following the funeral of their loved one. People are needed to prepare food, setup, serve, and clean up. Anita can let you know the organizer for each meal.

Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Class
This group of ladies meet at 10:00 in the annex library every Tuesday (except the 1st week-Heartland) of the month for prayer and Bible study. These wonderful women serve the church in so many ways: writing encouragement cards, visiting the sick, etc.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Men of all ages gather in the annex at 8:30 on the First Saturday of each month to have a great breakfast (biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, juice and hot coffee). After a brief Bible lesson and prayer time, they do a number of behind-the-scenes jobs for the church. The purpose of the Men’s Prayer Breakfast is to provide opportunity for prayer, devotion and to the building up of the brotherhood at AFCOC. Interested in getting involved?

Bible Buck Store
We have a Bible Buck Store that serves our Sunday Morning Children’s Bible Classes. Students in these classes earn Bible Bucks for various things: Attendance, Good Citizenship, Memory Verses, etc. They may then use these “bucks” to shop for snacks, toys, and other items in the Bible Buck Store. The more “bucks” they have, the better items they can afford. So learning the value of saving is also encouraged.
